Hello all, this is your second entry for the day, coming from el.
From Nacula in Oarsmans Bay resort, we took the Yasawa Flyer to the south island Beachcomber in the Mamanuca group. Here we spent our last 3 nights out on the island. We arrived and were immediately impressed. the check in office was air condistioned, there was the bar "Sandy bar" right on the beach with a dais with drums and speakers and microphones for those well heard of parties that occur every night on beachcomber..and as you can probably guess, the floor was just sand.. so at night you'd be getting good exfoliation on your feet as you danced the night (and drinks) away. The dorm room held about 85 people, and was strangely teered. in the middle of the church like hut, were the bulk of bunkbeds, and then at either end were ten beds (bunked) on a gallery, looking down on the floor below..anna and i were placxed there.. much better because it was a lot more private.. and we were closer to the fans.
Victoria who we met on Nacula came with us too, and we then met Laura... both british, though Victoria is currently living in Auckland studying..v cool.
We also met 2 aussies..mick and andrew... we spent our first two crazy nights with them.. laughing and dancing till we fell asleep. The girls then left to go home/to next travelling country.
We have not met one person yet who is just starting out their trip.. everyone is coming to their ends.
Days at beachcomber were spent on the beach lying in the sun... running for cover in the bar when the rain decided to fall on us like it hadnt rained in years... swimming and racing out to bouys..and eating the endkless buffet at lunch and dinner.
Things i've learnt so far on our travels... water is sooo damn expensive!! wish i could just have a good english tap to drink from!........ and you WILL burn when it's cloudy and rainy!!
Love to you all x x x x x x x x
