So I listened to a lot of Death Cab this weekend in the car and I have this verse from Soul Meets Body stuckkk in my head:
"Cuz in my head there's a greyhound station, where I send my thoughts to far off destinations, so they may have a chance of finding a place where they're far more suited than here..."
I suppose it's rather fitting.
Just got home from a 2 day trip to New York. I got the chance to see my Aunt's new place, which is perfect for her. We spent time together and I was able to meet the nice people she is living with. I'm definitely glad to have made the trip, despite it being so short.
From there I drove to West Harrison to see Viele and Ventura. Since I arrived later than expected at Mike's we just hung out and watched The Lake House, which was a bit far-fetched for my liking but good nonetheless. We went to Walter's for lunch and played golf with Ventura. I wish I could have stayed longer, but such is life. Besides I do have an "under 24 hour" visit rule with Viele...
I'm back in Whitman now. Waking up in just a few hours to pick Jen and Tony up at the airport from visiting Jenn out in San Diego. Another trip I really wish I could have gonet on, sounds like they had a blast out there. I miss you, Jenn!
I miss working at Whole Foods already. Is that strange? Fortunately I have the opportunity to go back there when I am done traveling. I guess I'll have to see where I'm at, at that point. It's a great place though, for sure.
Tomorrow is my only real day to pack, and crazy busy at that. Besides packing I'm going to the airport, getting my hair cut, running, and leaving around 2 to see Grammy at the hospital and head to Cambridge for my last weekly Tuesday night gathering. Busy day.
Wednesday I'm heading down to East Greenwich to babysit the Pedro kids (see picture in my album). I'm glad to be going, as I miss them a whole lot and want to see them before I leave. I'm just feeling a bit pressed for time. Mom is picking me up Friday and we will stay in CT for the night before the half marathon on Saturday.
Saturday... party here. Are you coming? I hope so! =)
