Today we spent some time visiting a couple of Bangkok's temples. Firstly we visited Grand palace, which is one of the King's residences. What an absolutely beautiful place, with so much to see. It must have taken ages to construct, but well worth the time spent. From there we visited Wat Pho Temple, which again is stunning. We then returned to Khaosan Road by tuk tuk, another experience and thankfully we made it back in one piece.... Khaosan road is also an experience, it is a very busy place. I look forward to sampling some street food there over the next couple of days (minus the seafood). We went for dinner at a Thai vegetarian/vegan restaurant called Ethos Bakery Cafe, I had a Thai green curry, supposedly mild, but blew my mouth off....But I must admit it was scrummy :-) maybe in future I can go stronger than a korma haha......

Helen Craig Like your picture, I imagine the king is very wealthy as there seems to be gold everywhere! By the time you get to Sydney, you'll be used to spicier food lol!
