Another sunny morning start from Dillon, Montana at 8:15am.An 2-hour drive over a high-elevation pass and across the state border to Idaho Falls and a quick coffee break. After 3-more hours and a drop down into Utah, we stop for lunch at a big Flying-J in Brigham. The weather was overcast and occasionally a few drops of rain marred our perfectly clean windshield. Saw a helicopter crew repairing some massive power lines.
It then took us a couple hours to snake through Salt Lake City and a gas stop at Nephi, Utah. Allan said Salt Lake had much less traffic this year, probably due to it being Sunday. I kept interested by reading the non-stop billboards on the side of the highway. A couple more hours and we reach Beaver, Utah, at 7pm.
A couple refreshments in the room, and a walk over to Timberline restaurant. Amazing pot roast and blackened chicken. With full bellies, a few of us decide to wash the trucks tonight instead of in the morning, the rest hit the sack. Looking forward to a relatively easy day tomorrow.
