We completed our drive from Adelaide on Monday (20th). The final leg of the drive was amazing. We were driving on the edge of cliff faces with stunning scenery. We stopped off to see the 'Twelve Apostles' on the way which were equally stunning- they are individual rock formations which produces a real picture postcard scenery... the pictures will describe them better than me.

On arrival in Melbourne we discovered that it was the weekly Neighbours night! Of course this proved too tempting so we went along to check it out. We were crammed in a pub with hundreds of other UK backpackers and were treated to a few classic episodes before being introduced to Dylan, Boyd and Lyn Scully! We all got a little chat with all of them and photo opportunities (I didn’t bond as well with them as Ned though!).

Then if that wasn’t enough Dr Karl Kennedy and his band rocked out a medley of hits for over an hour before I got to meet the Doctor himself- a true legend! The pictures we got were truly hilarious. We left a happy trio and I managed to obtain a signed Harold and Toadie postcard and a signed Karl Kennedy CD- a good nights work!
