I arrived in Sydney just in time for New Years. Managed to do a mini tour of the city and saw all the famous sights but I'm here for a month so have plenty of time to do those properly later.
New Years Eve itself was amazing- the fireworks are so hyped up over here that people wait for hours to see them and get a good spot. We found a great little spot right by the harbor bridge and settled down around 1pm with our massive picnic and large supply of wine. We also met up with Susie, Kate and Rob from Melbourne which was nice. The fireworks themselves were spectacular; none of the pictures do them any justice at all.
I again went to another disastrous Test match in Sydney- but again, it was good fun and had a little bit more to chear about this time! Again, I can say 'I was there when Warne, McGrath & Langer played their last game'
Sydney has also seen us meeting up with a few old faces- Matt (Bromely guy) who I met in Perth, Pruenelle and Ross from the Tazzie trip and Sarah (the girl who I worked with in Bromley) so it has been good to catch up.
Spent last weekend at the famous Bondi Beach which was really nice. Typical surfer’s town and the waves were good fun.
I'm back in the city now though- hopefully ready to work a bit...
