I spent a week surfing my way up to Byron Bay from Sydney and what a week it was. The first two days were based at 'Surf Camp' where lots of eating, swimming and drinking took place inbetween taking us to the local beaches to teach us to surf- I actually picked it up quite quickly and was standing up within the first hour.
We made our way up the east coast stopping at Seal rocks and Coffs harbour towards the end of the week- and by the I was becoming quite a master at the old surfing, and able to get quicker, turn in the waves and add a few tricks to my portfolio!! The week ended with a surfing competition where we had to do anything we could impress the judges- I removed a book from my wetsuit and started to read while standing on the board... although that got me into the last stage, I then broke my board in the final and nakedness won the trophy... Jon you'd have been a master!
Pictures are probably better than writing for this week- as this drivel sounds like more like a 10 year olds book review of the latest harry potter.
