"The end of the World..."
I´m at the Southern tip of South America. More Southerly than New Zealand or Austrailia and in fact the most Southern town in the World. Below is only Antartica.
The town is pretty isolated and has a good "feel" to it. It reminds me of Norway down here with the rugged natural landscape and the fresh cool wind.
I checked into a great hostel (freestyle) and met quite a lot of people. I did 2 main excursions - a walk up above the town to a glacier (see photo) and a walk along the coast of Terra del Fuego national park - both with spectacular scenary and very enjoyable.
I did look at trying to get to Antartica from here but after my sea sick days on the Galapagos boat my options were limited. There was a "day trip" in a plane; but it costs 1150 pounds for one day! I´ll have to get over my seas sickess and come back another time...
