re: Florence, ItalyJulianne Wow! What a scary day! I feel for you both. When Jackie and i went to Japan we had no mobiles, as our phones are not compatible with their networks. She is fluent in Japanese, i have a tiny amount of conversational Japanese, so for each location we were staying in , Jackie had written me a carfd saying basically: " I am lost, do not speak Japanese, please direct me back to xxx hotel/ryokan". Hahaha, i was not too proud to carry this with me in the event we were seperated. It gave me the courage to go off adventuring on my own. I will keep reading your blog, you write beautifully and very descriptively Echo :). Happy travels. Julianne x .

re: London, UKAnya Anastasia Karl studied french for 7 years? JEEPERS! Ech adventures sound awesome, these travel complications and challenges- it's all part of it hey?! Sounds like you are doing fabulously well! Why travel if not to expand our minds and our coping capabilities! xx
re: Paris, FranceJanet You write it so well Echo. I can just picture Karl throwing himself on to the train! I must admit I giggled quite a lot the whole way through this! (Only because I know you are OK now). Ask Karl what has happened to his 7 years of studying French!! Surely something stuck? Maybe not!! Have a blast guys and keep the photos and info coming. Makes us feel like we are there with you. xx

re: A Nice Bird For The BoysTamara Echo, your posts are entertaining me to no end and I soooo wish I could be sitting in that bar sharing a bottle of Piper with you..... I would have been more than happy being interupted sipping on my champers by a truck full of fireys coming to rescue me. I have also noted Victoria and Albert Museaum for my next trip to the UK...thanks for the tip. Hi to Karl.
