Eaton Family's Aussie Adventure
Coffin Bay is named for Sir Isaac Coffin, a friend of Matthew Flinders - we seem to have been following Matthew Flinders for some time now and have got quite fond of him! Coffin Bay is a lovely place - a small peaceful town where we had a lovely dinner in the local pub. It is well known for its oysters and I can attest that they are lovely. The Bay itself is protected from the winds - a good thing from our point of view as the winds in this part of the world are very strong and make for a rather dramatic coastline and also dramatic rocks like these ones which are called Murphy's Haystacks. We spent some time in the NP here - again mainly looking at coastal scenery and admiring the local wildlife.
