Cape Le Grand claims the most beautiful beaches in Australia and whilst I would agree they are gorgeous and white, the water is extremely cold (this is the southern ocean) and for many months there is a lot of seaweed on them. This photo is from the Giants Tree Top walk which we did a few days ago, but was terrific, especially as we didn't allow the kids to climb the fire spotting trees - it reaches 40m above the ground but is wheelchair accessible. The area surrounding Albany is lovely and the William Bay NP was especially nice with a lovely swimming area called Greens Pool which is protected by large boulders and its neighbouring Elephant Rocks (pictured here). Rich was the only one in the family to attempt a tree climb, though the kids were really keen. We have had a lovely week in Busselton staying in a time share unit. We will be returning to the camper trailer from now until we get home. The Capes region of Western Australia is a lovely spot to be. We have done quite a few day trips and visited a few Margaret River Wineries and seen both the lighthouses - Cape Naturaliste and Cape Leeuwin.
