We hired a small Zodiac boat to *bounce* us across the Med from Praiano to Capri. We made a stop in Positano to pick up 'Deborah' who was ultimately a no show. We will never hear the name Deborah again without thinking of Positano. Andrea was a fine captain and we (Steve) only got drenched once backing out of the Green Grotto. We transferred boats mid-sea to enter the Blue Grotto. After ducking to the floor of the wet boat, our pilot took us around the gorgeous grotto twice and sang three typical Italian songs for us (That's Amore, O Sole Amio, etc). When we exited he demanded a big tip since he gave us such excellent service. That kind of soured an otherwise perfect visit. Nevertheless, the color of the water can only be truly appreciated with the naked eye.
Capri is Capri... Gorgeous! We waited in a longish line for the funicular to take us up the very steep hill, then learned where to buy tickets, then waited for the funicular again before arriving up in Capri Town. (Just another YSI moment. :-))
We roamed the streets and found this little restaurant tucked away. A Dutch newlywed couple gave us all kinds of tips. They were very nice. On the way home Tom and Malinda got to jump ship to take a swim in the beautiful Mediterranean.
On the way back up the hill to the Deneb, Malinda and Michelle splurged on buying custom hand painted ceramics from a local shop. We snacked again for dinner thanks to Tom and Michelle's valiant trip up the hill to replenish our supplies.
