Hi
This is our last blog before we head off tomorrow. Just over 24 hours to go and we've just packed, thankfully we are in our weight limit and this includes a suitcase we are taking back for Sara (which seems to mostly contain chocolate and teabags).
The selection process for the travelling companions has taken place. and we are pleased to announce that Colin the canary, Patrick the lion and Iwan the bear have all made it back into the bags to be joined by 2 lambs called Papa and Ranganui, 2 Argentinian dudes called Diego and Evita and 2 Swedish friends called Eva and Elizabeth. Hopefully Molly and Morticia cats won't get in otherwise we'll be well and truly over limit!!
It's been a very hectic week seeing as many of our friends and family as we can, and the food/alcohol consumption levels have risen drastically - in fact we will be on beans and water for the first 2 weeks just to get back into interview clothes!!
We had our last Norwich game yesterday and our chums the Burns family put a half-time message over the tannoy which was very cool, the 5 of us dancing about left no-one in any doubt that it was us they were talking about!
We also saw the happy couple Jon and Patricia before we left and I was delighted to find out that Patricia loves Strongbow, so I am reassured that sales levels will not drop in my absence. Oh and of course Dad is maintaining red wine sales in Norwich which is always good!
Our flight leaves Heathrow at 10.15pm Monday and we arrive in Christchurch about the same time Tuesday night which will be Wednesday morning for us!
So it just leaves us to say many thanks for all your good wishes that we have received - we are hoping to find a corner in a bag to squirell away our cards. And thankyou to those of you who have already offered Rich a bed when he comes back to sell up!!
Be happy folks, and we'll be in touch soon
Love Deb and Rich and all the beasts x
