Hey all
Sorry it's been a while since our last update!!
So Rome was exciting. An ancient city made up of many old artifacts, ruins and amazing sights.
We started the day with a lovely Bike ride around the cities of Rome. Great way to see the city and avoid the hectic main roads!! We got to see the trivi fountain, spanish steps, collesium and patheon just to name a few places.
It was a little hot - Ben, Kat, and Jacky all got burnt - silly people don't apply sunscreen. Lucky I have super SPF 10000+ skin which protects me... hehehe
The 2nd half of the day we went and saw the Vatican museum, Sistine chapel and st peter's basilica. The Vatican is its own country within Rome and is guarded by Swiss guards. The museum was great, but the Sistine chapel and the way michelangelo painted the ceiling was just phenomenal.
We the had some dinner and some lovely cocktails - the mojito was 2nd best so far - still not as good as Singapore though.
After a full day we called it a night so we can save our energy for the Greek islands! Can't wait!!
Photos for Rome will follow shortly
