hi everyone, we are in oundle, nr Peterborough, nth of london.actually we are in a little village called Achurch. They have a lot of little villages around here. we are staying with stu's cousin, the roads have got businer and busier since heading south and we now realise going anywhere fast is not likely! we have spent two days in the lake district and luckily found a neat little bunk barn place where we paid half the price of a youth hostel , accommodation is very expensive here! we have been paying on average $200 a night (70 quid). the bunk barns was 35 quid a night and we used our own bedding. it still had a kitchen and showers etc, so pretty good all up and nice and quiet, no shops and plenty of places to walk.we have also visited hadrian's wall, which hasbeen very interesting finding all about the romans - lots of artifcats have been found, leather shoes, helmets, coins, writing tablets, which they have managed to get information from! amazing. we visitedtwo sites in the hadrian's wall area, in the rain! the weather has been cold and wet, not exactly summer, no swimming here!kids are just managing to keep up with their journals. but i hope they are learning all these different things - we even managed to visit wordworth's house!
