Hello people Bangkok is very hot and very cheap. Today is Friday and is day 5 of my trip (already starting to lose track of time)- I'm fast realising how this trip is going to change me - I'm soo glad I decided to to this! Bangkok never seems to sleep - can't get used to washing my arse with a water jet! Thai Roads are crazy and there seems to be no rules of the road - they have a green arrow for go and a red x for stop as traffic lights(amber appears not to be an option!) There are alot of different ethnic groups here and people from europe - The Thai women are insanely beautiful. Initially Miffy and I have been around Khao San Road which is a mecca for pack packers. I have thrown away a pair of jeans, trainers and a belt already!..oh yeah and just sold my jacket for 100 babt to a local in the street- thats about one pound fifty! Well thats this long internet session paid for anyway!! (if these entires are a bit jumbled its because I'm learning how to do this today- there should be some photos too.) The highlight for me so far has to be the Grand Palace - it was amazing like some strange wonderland. Had to wears trousers to get in though in 34 degrees- nice(not). Well if you consider 01st May as Day 1 this is what I have got upto so far( I wont be completing day to day entries though as it will take too much time!) Day 2 -Arrived in Thailand getting a taxi from Bangkok airport to Khaosan Road. Went out for drinks Day 3 - Woke up hung over at 3pm missing breakfast but managed to get driven around in Tuk Tuks to see the Big Budda Wat Intrawihan and the small reclining buddha. Day 4 - Visited the Grand Palace,the Emerald Buddha and the Reclining Buddha - spent the evening getting a Thai Massage then chilling at the pool on top of The D and D Inn- this is the life!! Have been in Bangkok for 3 nights and have booked a bus journey to down through Surat Thani then over to the islands by bout- Ko Samui, Ko Pha-Ngan and Ko Tau (for diving)- tonight at 6 we are getting a 14 hour bus journey over night- should be an experience!
