As we thought Greymouth was pretty dull, it did however have a very good brewery tour of Montieths beers, New Zealands oldest brewery. The trip to Grymouth was fine, long tho, left Nelson at 8 and arrived at 5 in the afternoon. We stayed at Neptunes hostel and some how got upgraded to a double with ensuite, sky kitchen for the same price as a normal room, very nice. The only problem we had was that my foot started swelling up all around about 20 sand fly bites on my foot that i got in Abel Tasman. And also the top of my leg had a really deap ache in it which was the start of a pretty bad infection which i'll explain more about as we go along.
The brewery tour itself involved going round the factory and then tasting the beers at the end. They had 7 beers, original ale, black (like guiness), ginger summer ale, lager, radler (lime and lemon) and celtic. My favourite was the original, very like IPA, but the black and celtic also very good. Sarah loved the radler, her new favourite drink. We then had the cahnce to pour our own beer.
We then all moved on to another bar to the next part of the evening which included more of the brewery's beer and a all you can bbq. Sausages all the way!!! We then started playing darts with another group on the magig bus (killer) and all of us eventually being beated by a german but me and sarah were in the last four! We headed back quite late knowing another early start on the bus the next day, please no hang over!!!!
