Well, I had a pretty hectic time in Franz Josef but it was amazing. I was supposed to get up and meet at the glacier hiking place at 7.30am and I woke up at 7.35 and realised that I was late. Literally had 5 mintutes to throw on my clothes, get my bag and run to the town, which was a few minutes away luckily. Hardcore as I had to quickly get changed and prepare to walk up a massive ice glacier. It wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be and really weird to think that we were all walking on solid ice. Because we went really early it was nice because the ice was solid, when we walked back down it had got really slushed because of the heat and people on it, so that was harder. Got to see some of the fantastic blue ice which was cool but we didn't do anything dangerous because we were on a shorter day trip because I didn't have time for the full day. But it was worth doing anyway. After the hike, I had to come home and get myself sorted and head to do my skydive!!! Oh my god!! Awesome, the best thing ever! I was really lucky to get to skydive in Franz Josef as so many people want to do it there but it rains so much that they always get cancelled. So very lucky and it's the best place in NZ to do it because you get to see the sea, rainforest, 2 mountains, the Southern Alps and the glacier. So it was pretty cool. I wasn't that scared which was surprising until the plane door opened and the girl in front of me literally just disappeared, then I was a bit scared but I was out of the door so quick that I didn't have time to worry. I got the dvd which is really cool and worth everyone watching when I get home. Such a rush freefalling from 12,000 feet, it was so weird because it doesn't feel like you're falling but I was at 120 miles an hour. Awesome!! What a day but I was heading back along the coast again the next day so an early night as I was seriously tired after all that.
