Hurrah, so here I am in Beijing - getting here was pretty easy only with a small hic-up at Shanghai airport but nothing that a bit of talking slowly and pointing couldn't sort out!

I'm staying at the University of International Business and Economics for the teacher training and have been getting up to some "team building" excercises that have helped loose my lasts shreds of dignity! Our team's choregraphed Britney Spears routine was probably the nail on the head!

Going out with the rest of the 80 students tonight for a welcome meal and hopefully to venture to a few bars and possibly sample the baijiu (toxic rice wine!)
