Xi'an, China

I arrived in Xi'an at the crack of dawn (5.22am to be precise!). I decided it was a bit too early to head straight for the hostel so I wandered around and picked up some breakfast. I'd been walking around for about an hour when I checked my map and realised I was only 10min away from the hostel - so my inbuilt GPS must have been working! Q…

Hello! I've never written a "blog" before but I'm hoping for this to be an easy way to update you all on my travels. Stay tuned as I teach my way through China, sail my way around Australia (well the Whitsunday Islands), sightsee my way through New Zealand and finish it off by gambling my life savings away in Las Vegas.... Mike Stranger Ni hao! I just stumbled across your blog, as I also used to teach at Yangzhen #1 Middle School back in 2007. Was feeling a bit nostalgic, googled it and your blog came up. Glad it sounds like you enjoyed it there. Was Mr Liu still there? Mike

Lucyloo Broderick Duff! Sounds like you are having a wicked time! I hear Hattie is on her way with her man Conrad, so I said if she meets up with you she is to give you a big hug from me! :-). Me and the girls are meeting later tonight for a drink and chat as usual. Its been really nice weather this week and I hope it continues to the weekend! Well keep having fun....only what 9-10 months till you're home :-(
