Merry Chistmas everyone!!
We are in transit from an island in the Gulf of Thailand (east side) to an island on the Andaman Coast (west or Indian Ocean) so we are spending a not-so-exciting X-mas in a sort of run-down town with a very local flavor. We just finished our X-mas dinner, consisting of a wide variety of local street vendors - these have become one of our favorite aspects of Thailand. We ate 4 different "dishes", finished with some ice cream and spent less than $4. Anyway, the last week we spent on Koh Pangan island it was mostly cloudy/rainy so we couldn't really do much but hang out at the bungalow and read/relax/write/play cards, etc. We managed to slip in some kayaking on our 1 nice day.
Regarding Quiz #1: It looks like Tom and his wife Hui-Ling have teamed up to sweep all of the questions thusfar. Tom correctly guessed that Quiz #2 was a fishing structure and Hui-Ling guessed that the floating structure in the Quiz #1 picture is a SCHOOL. It may have been easier to answer if you could zoom in - then you could see that the children are all wearing uniforms, as they do in almost every country we have visited.
