Erzerum to a Wild Camp at ANI

A good ride across the Turkish highlands pretty cold at times these hills are quite high 2500 metres and it's pretty cold up there. Had a strange encounter with a young beggar girl in one of the highland villages she had very blonde hair and extremely bright blue eyes amongst all that dark hair and dark eyes, for some reason she's stuck in my memory. At Kars we ran across a very bad RTA between two trucks one of the drivers couldn't have got out alive, hard to tell which but one of them had pulled directly out in front of the other and splat..nasty. Went to visit the ruins at ANI, which were ruined. The Count asked why they didn't just knock them down, I tried to explain that they were two thousand years old and the Armenians and Turks had been fighting over them for most of that time, he mumbled something about it showed. On to the wild camp another silly idea!
