Ulan Ude to Vlad Day 3
The morning ride is very difficult on dirt road all the way and riding in heavy mist. The mist is so bad it condenses immediately on our visors so we have to run with them open, leaving eyes exposed to grit and insects, nasty! It's been raining too so there's plenty of muddy sections, luckily the sun comes out in the afternoon so all is transformed, plenty of fast good quality dirt - even I enjoy it until I get my second puncture, same again but this time I remember the rock my fault I was day dreaming following Dave he changed direction quickly I followed but too early and there was this rock. Niall fixes it again. Camp site is another disused road builders site, I can't help thinking with a bit more planning we could be staying in more attractive surroundings, there must be some hotels/B&Bs around here that would put us up. One of the issues with this road is bizarrely it bypasses all the towns so although there are several around we haven't seen any of them, seems to me they must have accommodation in them that handles the rest of the traffic on the road. Sleep only intermittently interrupted by the trains on the trans Siberian railway - that is one busy line.
