Today was our last moments at Disney.
We left our gorgeous kidani Village room and drove to the Polynesian resort to go to the Mickey and friends breakfast at Ohana.
I just love Ohana. So kid-oriented. It leaves a warm feeling in my heart.
Once we got our buzzer, we were given a lei each and posed for a family photo for the local photographer.. Then the buzzer for our table went.
We got in just as the kids and Characters were doing a parade around the restaurant with music and instruments. The 7 yr old jumped right in and had a ball. I had only booked our breakfast because of Lilo and Stitch being there . It was great to see that Mickey was in attendance too. He was the only other big signature we needed.
The breakfast was big and generous. Sweet bread. Fresh fruit platters and strawberry yogurt dipping sauce. Trays of different sausages, bacon, biscuits (scones) and scrambled eggs. And my favorite: Mickey waffles! I had 3! Plus everything else. :)
Every character made their way round to all the tables. Each interaction is unique and really personable. Disney does everything with such attention to detail. We left really happy.
We decided that we would have our last hurrah at Animal Kingdom as Zac had missed it due to illness. By the time we got there we only had an hour before we needed to go to the airport. After one Animal Safari, it was time to head out!
Goodbye Disney, you were amazing to us!!!
The flight to Orange County ( John Wayne airport) with Delta, was long. A one hour flight to Atlanta, then after a 2 hour stopover, we flew another 4.5 hours. We arrived in at 9:30 pm LA time, which to our Florida body clocks was 12:30 am. By the time our shuttle got us to the hotel, it was another hour layer. Zonked! But happy to be back safe and sound.
