Day 24

This was another day of travel to get to Cambodia - Siem Reap. This took 12 hours by bus, what a journey, so we had about a million toilet stops due to the bus being a mini bus and needed petrol and we stopped at a little cafe where we got our Visas for Cambodia and Luke did a fantastic job of bartering them down so we paid less than everyone else woooop :)

Then we headed to the boarder oh my days this was intense stood in a queue for about an hour and half to get through the boarded which involved having our pictures taken and scanning our fingers.....

Finally we arrived in Siem Reap at 7.30pm and got dropped off in the pitch black in a car park down a country road. This is when we were harrassed by tuk tuk drives, now we had no idea where the hotel was so we agreed for one tuk tuk driver to take us 'Paul' his name was. When we got to the hotel 'Paul' asked us if we wanted him to be our tuk tuk driver tomorrow to go and see the temples and we agreed as to us he was charging us a small amount when we converted it to sterling. However when we got into the hotel and saw their prices we realised we had been over charged and the hotel staff were in histerics ha ha :(

Anyhow the hotel was lovely.
