Last night was soooo much warmer than the night before. So we only needed 2 layers in bed & no hats! Another early start to get off to the Salt Plains. When the cars turned off the road onto a lake, things seemed a little surreal. However, even though the lake stretched to the horizon, it was only about 6-12 inches deep on top of a solid salt base. So we drove slowly across this unusual terrain until we finally reached a cactus island, where we stopped for lunch & our 1st salt plains silly photo opps. After a few more hours driving across the salt flats with another white canvassed photo opp & a visit to the 'salt museum' (using museum in it's loosest term!), we reached Uyuni (3600m) & the end of our trip with Guido (our guide). Everyone managed to get sunburned today, especially old Rudolph Harry! A quick shower later & we met up with everyone (Windlesham boys, Adrian & 4 French guys (JP, ?, & beardie + his lady)). After a fatboy pizza (congratulations to Harry for finishing a whole LARGE pizza on his own!), we went for a few drinks from very odd receptacles in the Extreme Fun Pub. However you'll have to ask to see those pics, as I'm not publishing those due to their 'graphic' nature!
