This is our last day in Beijing and we've enjoyed two hectic days of sight seeing. On the first day we visited the Temple of Heaven, Tianmen Square and the Forbidden city - lots of temples and very big buildings! Yesterday we climbed the Great Wall (very slowly) which was spectacular. It was interesting to find out that it didn't manage to keep any of the invaders out - they just went around it! Hi all, we are finally in Beijing, and despite a last minute broken bag as we were about to leave (top tip - don't leave it until the taxi's outside to try to zip up a full to bursting bag!), being held up by an accident on the motorway and the only delayed flight from the airport, the long journey was well worth it!
