Well not much to write from Sydney - it was good but nothing amazing, probably because I spent most of the time ill! Did the Sydney Harbour Bridge climb which was amazing - freezing though and the only day it was cloudy which was pretty s*** - got some cracking photos of me up there with all me gear on all harnessed up! Bumped into some girls at the airport that I'd met in Fiji though, might meet up with them again in Thailand - you never know! Well Bangkok is a strange old place - it stinks of s*** and eggs and sewerage but apart from that its been fun!! Me & Vicky have been shopping in Siam and on the skytrain - what a mission. Also hired a boat and went along the river and the canals, past all the temples and palaces and the ramshackle houses! Been in a tuk tuk a few times - feared for our lives!! Moved hotels so know staying near Khaosan Road - the backpackers district and its unbelievable! First hotel for 2 nights was gorgeous - marble and chandeliers everywhere! Had such a good night tonight, been out for some food and a few drinks and met a few guys from back home, its such a good atmosphere!! We've had the delightful experience of visiting a 'ping pong show' which are very popular round these parts - we were physically shocked by some of the things those girls could do - won't go into any details. (We didnt go by ourselves so dont get worried mother) Got some well good presents! Cant believe how cheap it it - we got manicure and pedicure today for about 4 pounds!! And can get a meal in a restaurant for 60 Baht which is about 75p! Can't get used to the time difference - we were both in bed by 5pm last night and awake by 1am needing food so had a wee picnic in bed - totally in love with Oreo's. Anyway, the weather has been poor - cloudy and thunder storms and rain today so hopefully the coast and the islands will be better - we cant wait for the overnight train - hoping its going to be like the Hogwarts Express whoo whoo!! love and peace, Cathy & Vicky x
