Yay - we are all healthy again. Still some grumbling bellies but all were fine to have breakfast and fit to face the adventure of a new day and a new place to discover. We had a late breakfast, packed our belongings and enjoyed a last dip in the pool before we ate some lunch at the organic lunch place around the corner. Instead of potato chips, they serve chips made out of the banana to cook, the so called "plantain" to go with sandwiches. If you want to buy chips at a supermarket, they sell the expensive american brands 5$ or up for a bag or you can buy the plantain chips for under a buck. We started to play UNO at restaurants while waiting for the food to arrive, this keeps everyone busy in a good way ☺️. It was only a 2 hour drive to get to Samara. Our hotel is called Samara Beach and it is by far the least fancy we've had. Thanks to Tripadvisor we knew already that it wasnt super nice and new but seeing it in real was... how can I say... a bit of a mood-bummer. We asked for a chance of an upgrade and can move into the upper rooms on the first floor with higher ceilings (with fan) and more light.... tomorrow! The town is very small, the beach only a 3 minute walk from the hotel so we try to spend most of the time out and about. We discovered a nice place right at the beach called 'gusto beach' where we had a nice dinner with live music.
