Darwin to Perth
The time zone changed when we came over the border into
W.A. its now dawn at 4.30 and we like to get a couple of hours cycling in
before the sun comes up- which means getting up at 2! We need to have
some shade and be off the road by 10.30- well that's ideal, the past couple
of days we have been in it longer because there was nowhere to stop, we are covering 60miles plus- anyway we are in Kunnanarra and staying in an
air-conditioned room! Bliss- even got a telly for Tony to top up! Met
lots of lovely people- seen some beaut birds- there's one called a bower
bird that makes a nest like a bower and decorates it with white stuff- we
saw one with white pepples- bits of glass- bottle tops, amazing. The last
campsite was on a creek where they fed the crocs- freshies but still big,
its the salties that are dangerous, they fed the kites as well, throwing up
meat for them to catch. We stop at every rest area where we invariable
meet other camper travellers- we usually cadge water - everyone is very
generous! Hope you are all well- we are fine and enjoying our trip- I
found a church last night which was great- dear Tony waited outside.
Love Di and Tony xxxx
