So while in Australia and New Zealand I kept hearing different phrases. Some I would ask about and others I missed the moment. Here is a list of different phrases and slang terms that I heard or was taught while DownUnder.
- Stuffed = bothered
- Stuff(ed) it up = screw(ed) it up
- Buggard = broken
- Don't tell porkey's = don't tell lies
- Fizzy = soda
- Steamers = wet suit
- budgee smugglers = speedos
- bush = sage/widerness/open fields
- Whack it in = throw it in
- Don't say "round trip" its "... and return"
- tucker = food (aka grab some tucker)
- whinger = whiner/complainer
- "on the grog" or "on the piss" = out drinking
- giving them a bit of stick = teasing
- gettin' randy = affectionate
- "give this a butchers = give it a look
- "on the frog and toad" = "on the road"
- they don't say "get it to go" they say "to take away"

- havin' a blue = in an argument
- Dunny = toilet
- rooted = busted
I also had this amazing dessert while I was there, Pavlova. Its a meringue like dessert that I need to get the recipe for because it was amazing. Aaron's wife made it for me that first night in NZ and I still salivate when I think about it.
