When in New Orleans, do as the tourists do. Going to check out the tourist sites this afternoon. Drove around this morning. You can still see the destruction from Katrina. Watching soccer now. Everyone is cheering for Ghana. We're heading back south to Grand Isle tomorrow.

Eating breakfast. I've got my dad's laptop so I decided to blog since I know how to do one now. The hurricane lost its strength and is now said to be a tropical storm, so it looks like we'll get to go back to Grand Isle soon. Finally learned how to get a blog going. We had to evacuate Grand Isle until the storm passes. In New Orleans now. Planning on going to see Eclipse (Twilight move) tonight. Feels good to finally smell something other than oil.

This is a practice journal. My friend Hannah took me through the steps to open one up. My intention of having a blog is so I can post at least once a week what goes on during our clean-up travels. It's mostly for my parents to keep up with what is going on, but it will also allow my friends to follow my travels as well.
