Eating breakfast. I've got my dad's laptop so I decided to blog since I know how to do one now. The hurricane lost its strength and is now said to be a tropical storm, so it looks like we'll get to go back to Grand Isle soon. We were worried we were going to have to skip our last week there and head on over to Mississippi. Grand Isle is referred to as "Ground Zero." That is where the destruction is and where the most help is needed. It gets depressing because everyday people work hard to clean the marshes and yet everyday new oil is back. We are now 70 some days into this spill and now other countries have offered aid. Took them long enough. The bad thing is they're going to charge our country for all the help, though, and all the supplies we need. Pat was talking to my mom this morning and told her they aren't providing aid. They're selling us their products and services. Everyone is angry at the International response we have gotten. My friend, Hannah, threw a fit last night when she heard this on CNN, especially with Britain and Israel, who are supposed to be our friends and close allies. She said if she had accepted a scholarship to Oxford. this would be enough for her to tell them she has no interest in ever stepping foot in that country. She is now talking about joining a floatilla or going to Gaza and helping out there. I hope not because that would mess up her scholarship to school. She is more stubborn than a mule, so she is going to do what she wants. We saw Twilight last night. It was good and much better than New Moon. There is an indoor pool here so we're going to go swimming this afternoon.
