Haha. Chelsy took this photo and I think it is perfect summation of the day.
SO if your curious my wallet was stolen. It was insane. And stressful but my family clearly saved me and I think everything is figured out! Hallelujah!
Before I explain how it happened let me just say this city is so weird. None of my roomates have been in the room since ten twenty this morning. Until this one guy came in and PICKED UP THE BUNK BED and moved it over. These bunk beds are like steel. What the heck is going on?
Okay so the wallet. So. I was going on a walking tour. And we went to a place called the old church which is sort of in the red light district. Anyway. I was at the back of the group and there was an old Dutch couple behind us talking about the church and we thought that they would end up joining the tour. So THEN this lady came and was talking to our tour guide and yelling at him saying how disrespectful he was being (though he really wasn't) and she was very crazy. So then she left and the Dutch couple vanished. So then we moved on and 30 seconds later I went to get my camera out and my wallet wasn't there. At first I thought maybe it fell out of my purse so I went to look for it. Then it hit me and I realized the whole setup everything made sense. So bam. That's it. The hostel was so nice. She called MasterCard because I couldn't figure out how to dial then I went to the police. They were nice to. Then the lady at the bank so nice. Then my mom. So nice.
SO in the late afternoon I just came to my room and napped and played angry birds and listened to bad Leonard Cohen. Then my friend Chelsy knocked on my door and took me for dinner and bought me a beer and we walked around the red light district (to make me think about something else she said haha). Which is why this picture is very fitting. Anyway I feel like everything is okay now so I have no worries!
Now the red light district is actually exactly how you imagine it to be. It's so weird. The only thing different, and probably the thing that makes it even more weird is the fact that the streets and buildings and architecture is BEAUTIFUL.
Anyway. I for sure need a good nights rest! Man oh man!

Mom On the evening run, did you break out and sing "This is my last song..." while you were hanging off a balcony? And it kinda is a good pic! Glad to know you are okay with all of this. Luv U
