So the last week has been great doing lots in Auroville and had a smashing bday.Last Sat i spent in Windarra farm a little organic farm in Auroville. We were working in the garden spreading compost on the land and then hacking into the soil and turning it to mix it in and improve the quallity of the soil. At times i though i was going to be found dead in the earth from the heat but it was very rewarding work. They made a massive very tasy vegan lunch and we all ate together in a circle cross legged in the kitchen. After dinner i helped cook up starfuit, apple and mint jam and then I was Didgerydoo from 4-6. That was great need a lot more practice in it though :
Spent my Birthday day in Sadhana Forest just walking around and hanging out in the massive main hut. Then passed by the New Colours program and had a chat with Kumar and Rena they envited me and Aundrea (a lovely German girl i met in the guest house) to have dinner at there house the next day. That was devine we had coconut dosas and a kinda chutney dip made with peanuts and coconut and lots of lovely spices. It was great to sit in there traditional and very small family home and have food with them and Kumars mother and grand mother. That evening there was a gathering in the guest house Joy across the road from where I was staying. We sat around a campfire for the night while people played guitars and drums singing in many different languages, they even sang happy birthday to me in many different languages and someone knew wild rover which was hillarous to hear here. All in all my bithday was one hell of a wonderful day. I even got presents so im spoiled wrotten here :)
Took a train with Aundrea at 10.30 from Vilapourum to Varkala we arrived after 15 hours of very comfortable traveling. I had originaly bought a 3rd class standing ticket as I only decided to go 2 days befor and you gots to resterve ages in advance here. Well anyways i managed to upgrade which was cool as 15 hours standing in 3rd class would have been one hell of an experience ! Were staying in a lovely little hotel just 5 mins from the crashing of the waves. Its so beautiful here and there are some great places to eat and there selling really great thing in the shops. Going to have lots of treatments done here as Kerala is the home of Ayurvedia (iv already had yoga class this morning at 8 and Reflexology last night ) and the prices are just great. Going to travel on to see the back waters and Kochi over the next 10 days. They do lots of tours and trips, the main one I want to do is to see Elephants but im doing my best to see them in the happiest way i can so im keeping an eye out for nice wildlife parks.
