Sunday 3 Jan - we left Lemon House for the last time and headed for the beach at Ko Samet, in a proper vehicle - "a comfortable & air conditioned MINIBUS" !! .

It was sad saying goodbye to my room at Lemon House and the people who'd looked after us (Khung our cook, cleaner, drivers etc.). It also dawned on me that my time in Asia was coming to an end.... well on this trip anyway !

Ko Samet is located in the Gulf of Thailand off the coastline of the Thai province of Rayong, approximately 220 kms southeast of Bangkok.

Our hotel was directly on the beachfront and it was full board, so we didn't have to venture to far for our meals. I seem to have gone from one extreme to another - not eating much Monday to Friday in Sri Lanka, to eating 3 meals a day in Thailand ! Hope I can balance out my diet as I continue my journey across the globe !

Anyway, not a lot to report from the "Beach Week", except it was sunny, hot and the sea was lovely & warm. I have however, compensated for the lack of contents in my blog by adding lots of pictures instead !! Enjoy and hope some of the heat and sunshine from the photos oozes through your screens - Dee xx
