Hey everyone, I thought i'd create a travel journal so it's easier for you all to keep up to date with where I am and what i'm up to! I should've started this ages ago because i've been to so many cool places already but i'll try and write about them too! Just to quickly bring you up to date.. I left England last August and flew to Cape town where I joined the RMS going to St. Helena Island via Namimbia. While I was on St. Helena, I met some people on a visiting Catarmaran who had sailed from Cape Town and were doing a yacht delivery to Belize.. and they invited me to tag along! I had never sailed before but had to learn quickly, and before long I was taking my turn to keep watch and steer the boat alone :) It took a month and a half for us to reach Trinidad in the Caribbean, stopping off in Brazil and French Guyana on the way. I left the boat in Trinidad and found a job on board the Golden Opus which is a 72ft sailing yacht, which was designed by Ron Holland as his own personal yacht. Since being on board we have sailed all over the Caribbean, and there are plans for the boat to go to Venezuela, Panama and Tahiti in the coming months, eventually ending up in New Zealand at the end of 2007. We are currently in Trinidad again getting some work done on the boat to get it in good shape for the South Pacific! :)
