'Debbie and Max's Travels'
Arrived yesturday morning and hired a scootcar (scooter which seats two people, looks a bit like a bubble car - which made me very happy). We drove up to a waterfall 35km away and it took us about an hour to get there as the scootcar wasn't the fastest of vehicles but it was lots of fun.
Today we took a boat out to the Great Barrier Reef. It went through some pretty choppy water to get their and half the baot were sick including me (Max was fine).
At the reef we went on a semi-submersible and looked at all the fish and coral. After lunch and looking through the glass bottom of the boat, me and Max went snorkling. It was a little wavey and we had to wear flippers, which was a tad weird. Got to see loads of tropical fish, giant clams (endangered) and coral. the platform we stopped at had a regular fish called Wally, who was about 1.5m long and called a 'double headed ......?' He likes to be stroked and I got to stroke him several times which was really cool.
Will hopefully be in Carins tomorrow, if we catch a stupidly long coach ride.
