We visited the Batu caves in the capital. They are a huge limestone formation that have been, dare I say it, slightly ruined by being made a hindu place of worship. At the bottom of the caves is a temple and a enormous gold buddha. There is 274 steps to get into the caves. Today we met up with two of Danny's Japanese friends called I and Sensi. Its was sunny and extremely hot, we went and had a quick look around Shibuya. This is quite a trendy place in Japan and was packed with young Japanese people. It had a slight feel of New York to it with lots of shops. Krabi was incredibly beautiful. The beaches were white sand and the water was really clear and warm. We went snorkling around a couple of beaches and reefs and saw loads of different fish including Nemo. We visited the island of Pi Pi, where the film 'the beach' was shot, by speed boat. Today we visited the Death railway museum and the bridge over the River Kwai. Took lots of pics. We walked across the railway bridge to the otherside of the river, when a train comes you just have to move to one of the side platforms (but the trains are incredibly slow). Bangkok is an amazing city, full of wats (temples) with golden buddhas in. Lots of tuk tuks (motocycle taxis with side cars). The driving is crazy and everything is so cheap to buy. We bought a really good camera for 100 quid and Max bought a tailored suit. Clothes are also dead cheap and theres a lot of copied DVDs and CDs for sale.
