We hired a campervan on a special relocation offer starting in Cairns for 10 pounds a day. The camper had a gas hob, toilet, shower, seating area and bed above the driver bit, bargin!! The drive to Alice Springs was 2400km/ 1440 miles from 11am thursday to 3pm sunday cost us quite abit in diesel. Still Max enjoyed driving it. Didn't really have time to stop many places on the way and parked up for the night when it got dark to avoid road trains and roo's. Road Trains are lorries carrying upto 9 carriages!
