Today we went to Kamakura and it was packed. we met up with Michico, a Japanese girls. We walked up a parade of shops mostly selling traditional japanese souviners. Michico stopped at a sweet potato shop and bought some mashed sweet potato cakes and Danny bought a sweet potato ice cream. At the end of the parade was a shrine where we al decided to get our future read You gave 100yen and shook a wooden box. A straw would fall out with a number on and this would be exchanged for a piece of paper with your future for the year on it. You had to leave the paper at the shrine for god luck so all i can remember abou mine was my illness will take a long time to go and Dannys said that he should study language and marry someone his parents choose. We then met up with Kai Ko, michicos old university friend. We walked about 15minutes to the beach to meet Michico friends for a BBQ. Unfortunatly when we got there the BBQ was over. We decided to get a taxi to go see a shrine and a maasive sitting Buddha. At the shrine at the back people were throwing money into a well before praying. Kai ko went home and we went out to diner with Michico. We ate a Izay Kaya. This resturant was great you picked your food and they brought it out in loads of small starter size plates which everyone shared. I liked this as you didn't get bored of your dinner, you didn't get food envy and you could eat as much as you liked. Also you could carry on ordering the plates of food throughout the night. at this bar we also tried Suki and it was nasty. It tasted a bit like sherry - very strong.
