Ok I underestimated how hard it is to pack for 7 weeks into a small backpack and still make it light enough to carry! I was at 18kgs and then took out a few of my older clothes to get it down to 16kgs! I'm not very good at packing light, even when I know that there will be laundry wherever I am. Hopefully I can buy some clothes in Bangkok or somewhere once I have used some shampoo!

The journey to the airport was eventful, met some random guy on the bus who worked in England and lived in Holland, he was talking about all the places he has been in Thailand, it got a bit awkward but I guess I should get used to chatting to strangers.

I actually managed to sleep on the plane, awesome films to watch as well, Bridemaids again! Got to Bangkok and immediately the heat hits you, and I was in an airconditioned airport! Got a taxi to my hostel and went exploring, I must have looked a bit lost cos the guy at the front desk gave me a map and directions on where things are, which turned out to be vital!

This hostel is seriously the nicest hostel I have ever stayed in. You get given shampoo and shower gel, a towel and you can pull a partition across so you have you own space, I will be kinda sad to leave it, but tomorrow means ELEPHANTS!!
