Ok I underestimated how hard it is to pack for 7 weeks into a small backpack and still make it light enough to carry! I was at 18kgs and then took out a few of my older clothes to get it down to 16kgs! I'm not very good at packing light, even when I know that there will be laundry wherever I am.
