BUDAPEST
After a sleepless night in Vienna we set off for Budapest early Saturday morning and arrived around 11:30. Found the hostel ney bother, which is mint BTW. Have to mention something a tad imbarrassing... as we stepped off the metro at the stop where our hostel is some fat middle aged lady pulled us to one side and said "ticketsh pleashe"... needless to say, being the typical pair of blokes that we are, we hadn't bothered purchasing any. BOOM, 21 euro fine slapped on our wallet. Be reet, we dug deep, paid up and laughed it off. Checked in, wrapped our England scarfs around our necks and headed off to an Irish bar just up the road to watch the footy and rugby. Great news, first of all Lamps was dropped and we won 3-0. Even better news, we beat the frogs and we are in the cup final... Daz & Joe have an epic night planned for next Saturday. Their were loads of frogs in the bar and we never enjoyed singing Sweet Chariot so much in our lives, should have seen their little wimpy cheekbones suck in as Wilko done it again!! Muwaaahahaha!
Woke up this morning with the sun shining and a few jealous looking aussies in our dorm calling England rugby being lucky, sore loosers really. Decided to head for a traditional turkish bath. Twas mint. Sauna was outstandingly hot. Couldnt even breath without our lungs getting scorched!! Well worth the money though as we chilled in the main bath (which was the perfect warmth) for like two hours. After that we climbed a 'few' steps to get to a statue on a mountain edge. Turned out to go higher than the statue we could see and ended up climbing right to the top, took around 30 minutes. Views were breath-taking so the trek was worth it in the end. The weather has been amazing since we got here, proper sunny and warm with cool nights, perfect.
We plan on doing a sight seeing tour walk tomorrow, should be impressive.
Love you
