Headed for our fist trip on baz bus first stop Stellenbosch arrived later than expected litterally had to dump our things then straight off onto a wine tour, we visited 5 vineyards sampling 5-6 glasses of wine at each it was a fantastic way to spend a day wine was great and the scenery was beautiful, we bought a nice bottle of red to have at a later date. Met a really nice American girl on trip called Diana she was from NY she invited us out for dinner with her that evening. We went to a fab restaurant called Moyo were we had a table in the treetops there was authentic african entertainment and food (all you could eat buffet) which we took full advantage of, tried everything ostrich, springbok, butterfish, food was great
Tuesday we left on baz bus again to Wilderness which was about a 7 hour drive which was'nt as bad as wwe thought it would be bus is comfy they even put a couple of films on through the journey. We arrived at Wilderness about 6pm checked in then decided to walk into the village to try to pick up some food, the short 20 minute walk we were advised of was more like 45 mins and the shop we came across hardly stocked anything suitable for dinner. We decided to have dinner at a little bar we walked past 2 dinners and 4 beers came to the bargain price of 7 GPB, we decided to walk back afterwards at this time it was pitch black luckily halfway through our walk we were offered a lift by some fellow backpackers. Next morning we were up early decided to hire out a canoe to go upto see the waterfall. On our walk to the canoe hire place we walked along the railway at one point I said to Han am sure an owl just flew over my head, the next minute it landed just infront of us, it was cool although we were a little worried as Lillies fried Halle told me and Hannah ther other week that owls can kill, we kept our distance
