Arrived Dulles Airport Washington @10:30pm some 36 hours after we left.

Very tired not much if any sleep on planes. Up at 9:00am breakfast and then off at 10:00am for sightseeing walk.

Caught train to Arlington Cemetery, saw JFK's grave, Eternal Flame, TOmb of the Unknown soldier etc, then caught train back to Foggy Bottom, (George Washington Uni) and walked to Lincoln Memorial, truely outstanding. Then walked along to Vietnam Memorial, Korean Memorial and WW2 Memorial, right near Washington Monument (that's the tall tower - look at the photos which I have uploaded)

Very tired of walking got back to Hotel and had late lunch (3:30pm)and then tried to do Blog but took quite awhile to work out how to do photos.

Had to leave at 6:30pm for night tour of Washington Monuments on trolley car. Saw most of the sights we had seen during the day, hard to take photos in the dark. Went to FDR (Franklin Roosevelt Monument) and Iwo Jima Monument which we hadn't seen before. Very spectacular, but tiring and didn't get back till nearly 11:00pm, had snack and a few beers and then off to bed.
