Arrived in Vietnam yesterday and headed straight to the Old Quarter in Hanoi. Made friends quickly with the guy selling cheap beer and food on the corner outside the hostel. Spent the afternoon walking around the streets, soaking in the atmosphere, and learnt how to not get run over by motorbikes (the trick is don't stop walking, they'll always go around you!) Got completely lost but somehow stumbled across the hostel again. Had a few beers to cool me down and some street food for dinner, then caught up on a lot of sleep, ready to see some sites the next day.
