That's done it for me - I'll never go to the Amazon!!!! I don't mind snakes or Caiman or rats or bting fish....... BUT NOT SPIDERS!!!!!! Especially the big hairy kind!
Glad you are enjoying it though.
Looking forward to your Machu Pichu trek!!!

I just read of your jungle experiences with my feet well and truely off the floor following the descriptions of "dangerous insects" spiders and snakes!!! How do you do it? Mark and I would be in a blind panic, so intent on not tredding on/touching anything that we wouldn't notice anything else!! I can't believe mum caught a pirana, I will have to tell Lenny, I'm sure he will be impressed! Take care, and make sure there's no hitch-hikers of the eight legged variety in your bag when you come home!!! xx

Hi Sue and David
Sounds like you are having the trip of a lifetime, enjoying keeping track of your adventures. Now all I need to do is convince David to take me on a world tour, although he would want to do it on a motorbike.........
Greetings to all my old friends in Horley also reading this.

Was the picture of Dave the Blue Footed Boobie or the Flat Footed Bobbie?
Great photos!

David must have been disappointed to be the oldest by only 4 days, But you guys are obviously young at heart. Sounds like you are having a fantastic time. Hopefully meeting lots of interesting people and obviously seeing some wonderful places.
Life in Horley much the same as ever. As Ross said Nigel won the golf and you will be surprised to know that I will my athletic prowess i got the wooden spoon.
Anyway while you are out in beautiful countryside I am off up to London for a couple of meetings and the excitement of a trip on southern trains. I will cross the Thames but sadly will not be in a boat. I am working on the London to Brighton necxt weekend so I take over responsibility for a chunk of Clapham Common on Friday and hand it back to Lambeth Council on Sunday ( by which time I will be absolutely shattered)
All the best , really great to see you guys enjoying it

It sounds like you are getting in lots of practise for your grandparent duties on your return - feeding hungry kids, waking at 4am to precessions of loud noise, and staying up to 2am!! Glad to hear it xx

It appears as if you have become accustomed to local traditions - in bed by 2.00 am!! Time to move on, I think. Nigel Sapp won the the 41 Club Golf challenge - there must have been something dogey going on? No new roof yet.... any day now. Best wishes, The Taylors

Hi you two, My weekly catch-up of your whereabouts is here again! Thanks for keeping us so informed - it's really interesting and pics with it too - very impressed! Not sure that bands in the morning sound better than an alarm clock though! Warm here today (Sat 2nd June)25 degrees!! AND blue sky!!! but no fantastic views or bands or dancing or volcanoes or ........I won't go on!
Anyway have fun and look forward to the next installment.

P.S We went to see Tim do the cheese rolling in Gloucester last week - very muddy and scratched but no bones broken!

Sue & David,
Pleased to read/see your reports & photos. As with some previous message senders, we have been impressed with the wildlife photos from the Galapagos - can't wait to book it too!
Sounds as if it is a good thing that Cotapaxi is unlikely to feature on a 41 Club ramble!
So how many children can you feed off of one guinea pig?! Further, are they roasted, boiled or BBQ'd?
Have a good next stage on the trip & we guess you will glad to get away from the early bells & bands!
Some sunshine here this morning so hope to get the lawn cut!
Best wishes S & S

All the best for the next stage of your trip.
