Howdy all, how time flies, or at least that shall be my ex use for why I haven't updated this again for a while and defiantly not to do with laziness. So what's been going on? Stuff I assume is the best descriptive to explain my travels. When I left you last I was on my way to a camp site for a much needed shower. Having wasted a day in order to get cheaper rates at the campsite managed to have a good clean and get clothes clean etc, much enjoyment was had. Sadly the next day we found we had a flat tyre (later to be revealed to be the result of a massive nail with the girth of a telephone pole being stuck in the tyre), so manned up and changed that out. Then made a sprint to the le crosse and to Walmart to Gert the tyre fixed.
Le crosse was again another small town but had a river and some good scenery. Went down to the river in the day and walked around the lakes. Paul made friends with a strange man who fed him sweets and advised us there was a spot down river where wildlife was abundant with birds etc everywhere in there thousands. Having driven down however we found no more birds than in a cattery. At least the ever looked good, moral of the story, never take advice of strange men who offer you sweets, also, never let Paul make friends without prior screening process having taken place.
We made a stop in Albert Lea for some sleep and then powered on to siox falls, our half way house to mt Rushmore. This was a surprise as unlike all the other dead end small towns this has been far my fdavoritre of the small places. A waterfall and boulder field right in the middle of gown which you can walk along, on it, in IG if you so desired. No restrictions, looked great and was as good day exploring the falls.
Following siox falls we found it to be thanks giving day ands we had fdailed to arrange anything of interest for it and there was nothing happening in town. The roads however were dead so we made the decision to make a push for Rushmore. 7 hours of driving ands a couple of minor errors and we arrived in rapid city. We found that night that at 8pm as wee were settling into our Walmart camping that the car park had suddenly filled completely and people were everywhere. Wee had wandered in to black friday, people everywhere buying the most random pointless stuff.
OK I have done much more since them and am currently residing outside Yellowstone, however this Starbucks is closing soon so will do a mountain update soon containing everything else that has happened. Until then much lave all
