It's nearly here. The trip of a lifetime leaves tomorrow. Where have I been since Anzac Day? Passports, visas, lists and lists then my nemesis, electronics ie phones, Samsung tablet; reading books and talking to friends or anyone who was willing to chat on numerous travel subjects. How can I thank the many who contributed, but a special thanks must go Danny using Hillbilly's wifi where he endeavoured to show how to grasp using our Samsung phones and tablet. I don't know who was the most stressed - Danny using his ultimate iPhone compared to the Samsung, or my own steep learning curve. Endeavouring to take on the amassed information I found there is a fine line between stress and panic. A week ago, while I sorted piles of papers and clothes, Dave made jars of lemon marmalade on Monday and brandied cumquats Wednesday. Procrastination or faith in his own ability to pack at the last minute? When we had our tickets in-hand our ex neighbour, opal miner and housesitter extraordinaire arrived in his Gillie-bago, packing speeded up. So here in front of a lovely fire on a cold night, we've just found out the river port at Yangon/Rangoon has silted and we are to stop over in Pt Kalang and two other Malaysian ports plus Phuket. Que sera sera. This seems all a little unreal but by 3pm tomorrow we should be onboard, sailing at 4pm. Next stop Singapore. So excited I have to remember to breath, slowly. Hopefully I'll work out the international wifi by then. Thank you all for your best wishes. All aboard.
